vcard Ken Taylor is recognized as a trusted global advisor to boards, CEOs and senior leadership teams on matters relating to Board composition, Director recruitment, CEO succession planning, and senior leadership team recruitment. During his prior 17-year career with a leading global executive search firm, Ken was a senior partner and served as one of eight Executive Committee members, the sole U.S. managing partner and the head of its Board Consulting and Director Search Practice in the Americas. His expertise and experience is best evidenced by the long-tenured relationships that he has developed with his clients, many of whom have become friends. He has lectured at IMD, Yale and Northwestern University, where he is a founding faculty member of the Kellogg School of Management’s Center for Executive Women, and has served both as a corporate director and a member of the Advisory Board of Georgetown University. Previously, Ken was a vice president and group executive for a predecessor organization to JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A. where he worked with Fortune 500 companies on matters related to their capital structure. He holds a BSBA finance degree from Georgetown University, an MBA from The University of Chicago and a CPA from the State of Illinois. Ken and his wife, Cathy, reside in Evanston, IL and have three adult children. His client service experience spans the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consumer, telecom, industrial, medical device, professional & business services, food, financial services, agricultural, and distribution industries. In addition to board and general management searches, Ron has conducted large management appraisal projects in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. His assignments have covered a wide range of senior functional leadership roles in commercial, technical, and administrative disciplines. During his prior 21-year career with a leading global executive search firm, he served in numerous leadership positions including founding managing partner of the firm’s Miami office. He was the firm’s most senior American partner prior to his departure in 2008. Ron began his career at Monsanto, where he held positions in sales and product management in the agricultural division, and worked subsequently at a boutique merger & acquisition consulting firm in Chicago. He holds a BS degree from Southern Illinois University and a Masters in Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Ron and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Chicago and Miami and have three adult children.
vcard Carolyn Schubert has assisted in the recruitment of Fortune 500 Directors, CEOs and senior level executives across a broad range of industries for the past ten years. Her client-focused approach coupled with highly-regarded placements has earned her the trust and confidence of corporate leaders across the country. Most recently, she served as the Global Board Practice Group Leader of a leading international executive search firm. In that role, she was responsible for the firm's knowledge management and coordination of consulting and recruitment in the CEO and board practice area. Previously, Carolyn was a Legislative Assistant serving clients in the healthcare industry and began her career with the law firm of Lord, Bissell & Brook working in the International Insurance Practice Group. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Carolyn and her husband reside in the Streeterville area of Chicago. She is a member of The Executives’ Club of Chicago, the Executive Women's Golf Association, and volunteer for Misericordia Home.
vcard Ellen Kovacs has been with Taylor Meyer Associates since the firm was formed in 2005, after working at a leading international search firm for several years. Previously, she was the Office Manager for an international bridge engineering firm, where she assisted the Principal in the opening and management of the Chicago and New York offices. Prior to this, she was the Administrator for a custom home developer, where she was responsible for working with various municipalities to obtain zoning approval for the development of raw land into subdivisions in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Additionally, she was responsible for selling the developed lots and procuring contracts for custom homes. Ellen began her career at Heller Financial in the commercial real estate division, where she was a loan administrator for a portfolio consisting of condominium buildings and shopping centers. |
